 Selling homes on Sand Mountain gives me a great sense of satisfaction.  Home ownership is one of the greatest things a family can do. I believe that a home gives a family roots and is shelter from the world, a place where family comes together, where friends laugh, where children play, babies cry and the place that will always be close to a child’s heart.  Fond memories of  “Home” are among the most treasured things we possess or that we can give our children.

            I have lived on Sand Mountain my entire life and love the area and the people here.  I am involved in my church and many civic organizations, I have served as the President of the Rainsville Chamber of Commerce, President of Fyffe PTO,  President of FIA and  President of Rainsville Civitans.  Volunteer work has a special place in my heart. Helping in my community has always been important to me.

 I have two children, a son Steve Whitmire, who is DeKalb County’s District Judge. He is also a “Cowboy” and lives on a farm near his birthplace.  He is the youngest elected judge in the State of  Alabama. Heather, his wife is a high school teacher and coach . They are parents of the two sweetest “GRANDCHILDREN” in the world, Wesley age 8 and Trace who is 6.  See me for “photos”! 

I have a daughter Megan who is in college.  She works full time as well as attends college fulltime. She graduated from Fyffe High School with honors and was involved in theatre at Northeast Community College for several years.
